What is Hegyoni ?
The Hebrew word הגיוני pronounced [heg-yaw-nee] has two meanings.
  1.  adj. logical, reasonable, sensible
  2. n. my self-expression
One meaning has to do with the mind and the other has to do with heart and soul.  I have chosen Hegyoni as the name for this site as it includes my name 'Yoni' and represents what I deliver in the Jewish life coaching sessions.  Coaching that comes from the heart and soul and meets the reason and logic of the mind for practical and applicable solutions.
Definitions:
Life Coaching – Life coaching, or simply, coaching, is a 30+ year old profession.  It's intended to enable self-development and achieving goals. The coaching process is composed of two parts. First a theory of motivation and second a method of dialogue.  In practice coaching is a series of short dialogues between the coach and the coachee aimed for the coachee to achieve goals through self-development.
Jewish Life Coaching – Jewish coaching is a set of professional methods based on Jewish sources and Jewish philosophy, giving theoretical and practical techniques.  There is an abundance of appropriate Jewish sources for understanding human soul and behavior.  A number of major principles are used to professionally apply these sources to the practice of life coaching in an accurate and clear way.

How to get the advantages of Hebrew with Jewish life coaching in English?
Life coaching is all about language and speech.  During a life coaching session you have a conversation with the coach who enables you to reflect on what you want and what you need.  What do you desire as an immediate solution and what is your inner will that is driving you?
The words you speak and the language you use are effective in the coaching process.  At the first level they give information about your goals and targets for your near prospects and for the projected, long term aspirations. Yet there are deeper levels in the speech as well.  A professional coach pays attention to the context and with what words you choose to express yourself.  In many cases the words and the context in which they are said can indicate outstanding capabilities and inner options that can help you resolve what is on your mind.
In Jewish life coaching (not necessarily only for Jews) there is an outstanding advantage of the Hebrew language. Hebrew is the original language of the Bible and the language of wisdom for Jewish philosophy.  In Hebrew many of the words regarding the spirit and the soul and the Human actions for self-development have more than one meaning.   Using the interaction between the various meanings of the words is an excellent method to identify inner will and options for resolve.
When doing a session in Jewish life coaching, I follow the statements in English, and when appropriate I suggest the Hebrew variants.  This process enables the person to identify himself/herself with that inner meaning which brings out the self-uniqueness which in turn is the basis for problem solving and growth.
For example I shall repeat what appeared at the top of this page.
